A competition entry for a semi permanent summer pavilion to sit beside the Lightbox in Woking.
The design incorporates repetitive elements of ascending scale, to exploit the Computer Generated Cutting technology proposed for the fabrication of the pavilion. The lightweight elements would allow the pavilion to be erected within 72 hours and stacked for storage when not in use.

"The Cone" Pavilion is inspired by natural forms. It is a representation of the natural occurrence of Fibonacci numbers in nature.

Its form is a dome, an inherently stable shape. The design relies on sophisticated fabrication and allows for simple assembly. The pure shape is assembled from a series of repetitive modular components, bolted together and connected to a base filled with water ballast, with no reliance on foundations.
