ProjectsKensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, LondonBriefing, Masterplanning, Feasibility Study, Lottery Application Kensington Palace is located in the heart of Kensington Gardens. In recent years the palace has become divorced from the park making it difficult to find the entrance. A single narrative route is long, disorientating and confusing. We worked with Historic Royal Palaces over an 18 month period to devise a scheme to link the palace to the park and provide a new entrance and orientation hub, to improve access to the palace and collections. We devised new support accommodation to make a place where people can gather, eat, drink, shop and learn. This work formed part of an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for grant aid.
